Fishing Paradise Devlog 0

Synopsis

Fishing Paradise is a simple game about fishing. Pick a spot, wait for the fish to come to you, then catch it. 

Developers' Thoughts

Since this is the first devlog, the things that are currently a part of the game are: basic player controls (movement and third person camera) and the game loop. 

The waves and buoyancy system took about a day and a half to get right, but what really took its toll on me was the mini game system. To add something interesting to an otherwise small game, you have to play a mini game in order to reel in the fish. 

Future and possible mechanics

In no particular order:  

• Boat controls (mandatory)
• Sell caught fish
• NPC interactions
• Different rarity fish
• Harder mini game for rarer fish
